You’ll be amazed by the scale and depth of this underground site. The opening measures 35 metres in diameter and plunges to a depth of 75 metres. The interior is impressively well laid out. Inside, you’ll discover countless galleries stretching across a vast area of 42 kilometres.

You’re sure to marvel at the beauty of the stalagmites and stalactites that adorn the chambers. The underground lake and river evoke wonder and curiosity with their mysterious appearance. There are many more remarkable features to explore. Each hall invites you to extend your journey of discovery.

For added enjoyment: part of the visit to the Padirac cave takes place by boat. You’ll also be accompanied by a qualified and experienced guide. Visits are available from Monday to Friday.

You might, for instance, embark on an excursion to the picturesque listed villages of the Dordogne Valley. Rocamadour is undoubtedly the most visited site in the Quercy region, especially due to its connection with the pilgrimage route of Saint James of Compostela.
